Although its origins remain shrouded in mystery, houndstooth was first popularized in the United States during the 1930s, when domestic textile makers began replicating imported tweeds. Since then, the pattern has fallen out of favor a few times, but it always manages to reemerge on the runways. This fall, the venerable print is adding its jagged-edge appeal to an array of clothes and accessories, including these toothy finds.
