The essentials: Beaded cardigans, fitted suits, empire-waist tops, chiffon dresses, rosettes, embroidery, stilettos.

The palette: Black, gray, bordeaux, slate blue, pale yellow, champagne.

Bottom line: Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk looked back to the future for their fall inspiration.

Beauty report: We loved the soft hair and bold electric-blue eye, but would've preferred to see it paired with a neutral lip.
