From classic beauty Gwyneth Paltrow to emerging "It Girl" Anne Hathaway, makeup artist Tina Turnbow has painted some of Hollywood's comeliest faces. But as the spokesperson for Beauty.com, she's also well aware of the challenges the rest of the cosmetic-wearing world faces when trying to achieve a celebworthy look. For this reason, Turnbow recently teamed up with Three Custom Color Specialists (3CC) to launch a new makeup line. The result? A set of fall staples that make their wearers look every bit as alluring as her elite clientele.

While the collection is inspired by silver-screen glamour, its focus is on real-world wearability. The Smokey Mountain Eyeshadow Trio ($60; beauty.com) injects a little vibrant color into the traditional smoldering eye with shades like Cascade (a silvery gray), Smokey (a steely pewter), and Blue Spruce (a rich teal). Although the palette is pricey, it comes in a resilient metal case with a huge mirror, and the shadows impart a silky, satiny finish, making the compact a worthwhile investment.

For added definition and drama, the shadows can be applied with a damp brush as liners, or you opt for a Pencil Eye Liner ($14 each) in Smoke or Dark Navy. Either way, with such sultry eyes, most women will want to keep the rest of their makeup light, and Turnbow offers two easy-to-use products that succeed in complementing, but not competing with, peepers: the Lip and Cheek Stain in Cherry Glow ($19.50), a dual-purpose cream blush that doubles as a lip gloss, and Pink Mist ($18.50), a creamy, moisturizing lip glaze with a just a hint of color and lots of shine. The effect in both cases? Hypnotic (which tends to come in handy, especially in Tinseltown). --Janelle Harris
