It's not easy being a chocoholic when everyone urges you to shun sugar in favor of foods like broccoli and fish. The good news? With Bobbi Brown's fall line, you can savor the sweet treat in guilt-free cosmetic form. The Chocolate Eye Palette ($48; bobbibrowncosmetics.com) features seven delectable shades, from pale beige and champagne to rich sienna and cocoa. Since the hues are so well coordinated, you can create an endless array of shimmery and matte looks (a Bone, Frappe, and Chocolate trio yielded an wonderfully smoldering, slightly opaque eye), while the mini dual-sided brush ensures a precise, foolproof application.

Equally tempting are the Lip Duos ($21 each), luscious gloss-and-color combos that come in four scrumptious pairs (if you're olive-skinned, I highly recommend the Chocolate Shimmer and Frosted Pink Duo). In all cases, the two-toned confections are ideal for layering; what's more, they come in palm-size compacts so you can apply a succulent pout anywhere, anytime. Although the duo itself boasts decent staying power, the addition of the Chocolate Lip Liner ($20) yields more defined look that lasts all day without touchups.

The collection also includes three mouthwatering blushes ($20 each), in Clementine, French Pink, and Cranberry. Although the latter shade looked intimidating in the package, it actually has become my favorite (just a light sweep on the apples of my cheeks delivers a convincing burst of color). And for a delicious finish, there's the Chocolate Cherry nail polish ($8.50), a high-sheen enamel in a succulent mahogany hue. If you're worried that chocolate is more suitable to candy bars than cosmetics (or that the line will prove as drab as other neutral collections), fear not--the look is far too foxy brown to ever be mistaken for ho-hum.
