Like seaside romances and summer hours, warm-weather makeup is more of a fling than a long-term commitment (unless you want to wear lime-green shadow in the dead of winter). But with this new trio from Stila ($30; sephora.com), you'll be so eager for fall's arrival that former cosmetic flirtations will soon become a faint memory. Encased in faux leather and embossed with leaves, each compact comes with three shadows in varying intensities (for the base, crease, and lashline). My favorite combo is Forest Clove, which includes soft gold, rich olive, and deep brown shades, but the palette also comes in Silver Maple (a slate-and-silver set) and Cedar Grove (an autumnal mix of cream, copper, and mocha). Boasting the same high-pigment, supersilky formula as Stila's legendary shades, the shadows are versatile enough to wear year-round. But ultimately, the compacts will be fleeting too--they're limited edition, so stock up while you can. --Tara Mattarazzo
