In Living Color

When you hear the words "colorful eye makeup," what probably comes to mind is an overpowering, '80s-gone-wrong look. But with Too Faced's Liquif-Eye Shadow Collection ($32.50; sephora.com), you can give your neutrals a rest without resembling one of Jem and the Holograms. Created to accompany the brand's best-selling waterproof and smudgefree liner, the limited-edition palette contains 12 ultraintense shadows to amplify your pretty peepers. Boasting double the depth and saturation of the brand's standard formulas, the shadows can be used to create a range of shimmery and smoldering effects. Shades like Turquoise and Chartreuse are almost electric, while Camel-Yellow, Rose, and Khaki Green are a bit more subdued (and yes, the compact also includes Silver, Charcoal, and Black for a classic smoky eye). Since the kit comes with an innovative clear-fluid-filled pen, you can also use them as liquid liners: Just dip the Liquif-Eye felt tip into one or more of the shadows, and apply carefully for a look that's guaranteed to stay put. Best of all, the abandoned shadows at the bottom of your makeup bag can be reincarnated into unique and dazzling liners. --Courtney Sauve

Loved your site, I am kind of a make-up whore, but am trying to control myself these days. I have kind of moved into the skin-product whore line instead of late. I wanted to hear what you might have to say about the "Bare Minerals" line? I was thinking of investing in some of it. I saw in infomercial (I am such a sucker) and it looked good and good for the skin? What do you know about it? My email is: drpearce124@yahoo.com....thanks, would love to hear your recommendation.
