Cool Breeze
Saturday
Anyone old enough to remember “Donna Martin graduates” (the original 90210 anthem, not the So Notorious nostalgia) probably thinks of Sea Breeze as the potent icy-blue cosmetics cocktail that removed teenage oil in a single swipe. After high school, the alcohol-packed astringent most likely seemed too harsh for daily use, so you moved on to a gentler regimen of nourishing toners and creams. If you’re anything like us though, you still secretly craved the tingly, dirt-stripping satisfaction of the original. Fortunately, with Sea Breeze Naturals, you can enjoy the best of both worlds—thorough removal of the pore-clogging gunk, in milder, nondrying formulas.

The new line calls on sea salts and minerals to restore healthy cell turnover and a chelated seashell derivative to protect against free radicals, allergens, and pollutants. The Gentle Cream Cleanser ($6; drugstore.com) and Foaming Face Wash ($6) wash away all traces of dirt, oil, and makeup, while the Hydrating Moisturizer ($6) leaves skin feeling soft and supple. For us, the real standouts were the Purifying Clay Cleanser ($6), which also gently exfoliates, and of course, the two astringents: Sensitive Skin ($6, shown) and Oil Removing ($6). Although both are easier on the skin than the discontinued original, each contains 5 percent salicylic acid to combat blemishes. But for those who refuse to settle for anything less than the classic sinus-clearing staple, there’s good news—the company has released its remaining inventory to Drugstore.com ($5 a bottle, while supplies last) and is in the process of redeveloping and re-releasing the product for 2007. —Jennifer Riley

I love Sea Breeze I use it faithfully, and my Husband does also. We have like a stock of it if soes on sale, and dont limit yourself to just the drug stores. Sally's Beauty supply has it by the gallon, because it stops hair bumps.

I don't agree with this article. People are outraged they're trying to phase out the original formula we've used for our whole lives.

If you don't believe me just read these posts.

Not to mention the new formula has ingredients dangerous to your health like Tetrasodium EDTA.
